HighTech Christmas Letter

Every year I send a letter in our Christmas cards. Usually I mention my web work in vague generalities because I know almost none of my family and friends will understand anyway. Just as I’m sure I wouldn’t understand their work in depth either. But I digress. Here are some notes I would put in a Christmas letter to you, my HighTechMom friends:

This year has been wonderful to my family. We’ve had lots of ups and downs but the highlight was being named TIME’s Person of the Year. Really. I’m not bragging here at all. In fact, it is not bragging because YOU too were named TIME’s Person of the Year. That’s right, it seems anyone who contributed to the Information Age online is the Person of the Year. Congratulations.

Since there really aren’t many time commitments that come with this big win I had plenty of time to review Google’s Zeitgeist statistics. A quick peek at this site really brings some things into perspective - like what the world is really finding interesting. It really would take up my whole letter to analyze this, so I advise a look for yourself. Be sure to click on all the links. Even the sports one is enlightening.
