A Million Thanks - Go Shauna!
Thanks to my DailyCandy, today I discovered the website and blog of Shauna Fleming, an amazing high school senior who is sending a million letters of support to our troops. Actually, she has already collected and distributed over 3 million thank you letters and cards to U.S. military members since March, 2004.
A Million Thanks is a year-round campaign to show our U.S. Military Men and Women, past and present, our appreciation for their sacrifices, dedication, and service to our country through our letters, emails, cards, prayers, and thoughts.
If you want to send a letter through Shauna’s project, go to AMillionThanks.org and find a local business that is a designated drop off point. If you don’t have one in your state you can always choose a neighboring state and mail your letters to them. I’m also going to find a business in my state to participate.
What a great idea Shauna had. She has been doing this during her entire high school years. How cool! I hope she keeps up with the blogging part of this project. She’s a natural.
