Amazing Free Online Tools
Preston Gralla, of PC World, has a terrific article featuring 101 free software tools you can use to make your computing time more productive, fun and organized. The list includes System Utilities, Communications and File Sharing, Blogs and News Reading, File Management,Productivity and Office Apps, and Music, Photos, and Video. There is even a section of Best Free Stuff on the Net determined by People’s Choice.
I highly suggest reading this article - right away. There are some real gems listed and Gralla does a terrific job of explaining them. Guaranteed to be worth your time.
Even though I use a ton of software and am online a huge chunk of the day, I only use 7 of the 101 freebies listed. So there will probably be quite a few things you can find to use.
The 7 Freebies I Use Are:
GMail
Pageflakes
AVG Anti-Virus Free
NewsGator Online (discussed here)
WordPress
Google Picasa (see review here)
Mozy

Check out BackPackIt.com — their system is awesome! Another one someone recommended to me is; http://www.highrisehq.com — I haven’t checked it out yet but hear good things . . .
I love AVG! I also use GMail, WordPress, Firefox, Thunderbird, BlogDesk and others.
