Using IE in a FireFox Tab

Last night while reading my latest copy of PCToday (March 2007 issue) I saw an article by Scot Finnie about using Firefox masterfully. He didn’t use those words, but that is the gist of it. I spotted a paragraph that made my day.

It was about how to view websites using Internet Explorer from within a tab in FireFox. WOW!

You see, I use FireFox and absolutely love it. I wouldn’t change my browser now for anything. And when I come across a site that mysteriously doesn’t work with my beloved browser I mutter under my breath at the site that doesn’t work. (Notice I don’t blame Firefox.) Anyway, thanks to Scot I can now open any site using IE within my Firefox. Here’s how:

1.
Get the FireFox add on IETab here.

2.
Use Firefox as you normally would. When you find a site that you would like to browse with IE, just right click. You’ll see an choice that says View Page in IE Tab. Click that and Internet Explorer will open automatically.

You will never have to open IE separately again!
